A Mobility Morning is a free visit to your care home or residential community. We bring a selection of mobility equipment for residents to try, answer their questions, and look over the equipment they already have. Care homes can book one by calling us.
What we bring
We choose the equipment around your residents. That can include:
- Mobility scooters from brands like Pride Mobility, Electric Mobility and Kymco
- Electric wheelchairs, including folding ones, from Quantum Rehab, Invacare and Sunrise Medical
- Riser recliner chairs
- Rollators and walkers from Rehasense and Able2
What residents can do on the day
- Sit on and try equipment in a setting they know
- Ask questions with no sales pressure
- Find out how Motability or buying might work for them
- Take information away to talk over with family
No one needs to decide anything on the day.
Help with equipment they already have
We can also do small alterations and repairs while we're there, such as adjusting a walking frame or rollator to the right height. And we'll give honest advice on whether a resident's current scooter, wheelchair or chair still suits them.
Why we do it
Not everyone can get to a showroom. Trying equipment at home also shows how it really fits, whether a scooter gets through the corridor or a chair suits the room. Residents often feel more confident trying things among people they know.
