Welcome to Stratford Shopmobility – Making Getting Around Easier
We’re here to help you explore Stratford-upon-Avon with comfort and confidence. Stratford Shopmobility offers free hire of mobility scooters, wheelchairs, and walking aids to anyone who needs them. Whether you’re a local resident or visiting the area, we’re ready to support you.
How It Works
Registering is easy! Just bring two forms of ID (including one photo ID) and we’ll set you up. Our friendly staff will guide you through everything so you feel comfortable and ready to go. If you’re new to using mobility aids, don’t worry – we’re happy to show you how it all works.
Where to Find Us
We’re conveniently located on Level 2 of the Bridgeway Car Park, near the Blue Badge bays. Blue Badge holders can park for free – just bring your Blue Badge into Shopmobility to register your vehicle for free parking.

Booking and Safety Information
To guarantee availability, we recommend booking in advance.
For Day hires please use this form.
For longer hires please use this form.
Day hire at Stratford Shopmobility is by donation.
We don’t want price to stop anyone from getting out and about, so there is no fixed charge for a single day’s hire.
To help you decide what to donate, the prices shown below are our usual charges for longer hires.
Please give whatever amount feels fair for the value of your day’s hire – your donation helps us keep this service running for everyone.
Normal hire prices
If you’d like to hire equipment for more than a single day, these are our standard Shopmobility hire prices:
Wheelchairs and walkers

Day hire: £5

Weekly hire: £30 for the first week

Additional weeks: £25 per week
- Refundable deposit: £75
Mobility scooters

Day hire: £10
- Weekly hire: £50 per week
- Additional weeks: £40 per week
- Refundable deposit: £200
Deposits are fully refundable when the equipment is returned on time and in good condition. If you’re not sure which option is best for you, just give us a call or pop in and we’ll talk it through with you.
