The most powerful way to get out and about in your own manual wheelchair

For active wheelchair users, pushing is only half the story. Long distances, steep hills and a full day out can wear out your shoulders long before you've had enough. The Klaxon Klick Race is Klaxon's high-performance power add-on: it clicks onto the front of your manual wheelchair and gives you strong, smooth power with the confidence of proper brakes and clever electronics.

It holds your chosen speed up and down hills, slows you with energy-recovering braking and reverses at the flick of a switch. When you're home, unclip it and you're back in your usual light chair.

✅ Key Features & Benefits

• 1500 W gearless motor with 50 Nm torque
Real pulling power for steep streets, ramps and long climbs, so your shoulders and wrists get a rest instead of a workout.

• Intelligent cruise control
Holds a steady set speed uphill and downhill, so you can relax your grip and focus on where you're going.

• Electronic and disc braking
The electronic brake slows you smoothly and recovers energy, and pressing the lever further brings in the 160 mm disc brake. Parking brakes hold you still at kerbs and crossings.

• Up to 60 km (37 miles) range
Depending on the battery you choose (Klaxon quote 60, 30 or 15 km), you can plan a full day out without range worries.

• Reverse gear with sound alert
Back out of lifts, parking spaces and tight corners easily, with an alert so people around you know.

• 14" wheel with wider all-road tyre
A 60 mm wide tyre gives grip and comfort over cobbles, gravel and broken pavements.

• Colour display and USB port
See battery, distance and trip details clearly, adjust how the Klick drives in the menu, and top up your phone on the move.

• One-click linking
Connects to rigid and folding manual wheelchairs without permanent changes, and the self-adapting stand comes off for transport.

Who it suits best

• Experienced, active manual wheelchair users
• Hilly areas, long distances and full days out
• You want strong power and advanced braking without giving up your manual chair

Worth knowing before you buy

The Race is the high-performance Klick, and at about 13.2 kg it is heavier than the standard Klick Electric — if you mainly need gentle help in town, a lighter Klick may suit you better. It's steered with handlebars and a throttle lever, so you need good hand control; if your hand function is limited, the Race Tetra version is designed for that. We'll check your wheelchair is compatible and set the speed within UK rules.

Questions customers ask us

Does it have a hill-hold?
Hill Holder Control is available as an option and holds the wheelchair still on slopes — ask us when you order.

Can I try one first?
Yes. We don't keep every model in stock, so give us a call first and we'll check — if it isn't in, we can usually arrange a demo model. You can also book a free home assessment.
