A thin, flat seat or sagging wheelchair canvas soon becomes uncomfortable, especially on longer trips out. The JAY Basic from Sunrise Medical is an entry-level cushion that adds gentle shaping and comfort without anything to adjust or maintain.
It's made from moulded foam with a bevelled base that sits neatly on a standard sling seat, and it comes with an incontinence cover as standard. Pop it in the chair and it's ready to go.

The JAY Basic gives comfort and only minimal postural support. If you sit in your wheelchair for most of the day, have had skin problems, or lean to one side, you'll need a pressure-relieving cushion with fluid or air instead — we can help you choose.

Which type of cushion is right for me?
Foam cushions are simple and stable, gel and contoured cushions add positioning support, and air cushions give the highest level of pressure relief. The right one depends on your skin, posture and how long you sit.
What size cushion do I need?
Match the cushion to the seat width and depth of your wheelchair. Measure the seat itself, not the old cushion, and ask us if you're between sizes.
