It's crash tested for vehicle travel and goes up to 6 mph outdoors, so the same chair takes you round the house, down to the shops and into an accessible taxi or minibus. An adjustable sling back lets the seat be set up to support your posture.

Worth knowing before you buy

The Blazer Sling weighs around 104.5 kg with batteries and the backrest only folds forward for transport, so it isn't a chair to lift into a car boot. It needs about 102 cm to turn. The powered tilt is an added-cost option, so decide at the start whether you need it. If you need fully configurable rehab seating with lift and recline, look at a complex rehab powerchair instead.
