Get back onto trails, fields and beaches you thought were out of reach
Most electric wheelchairs are happiest on pavements and indoor floors. If you miss country walks, the allotment, festival fields or a day at the coast, that can feel very limiting. The Quantum Outback is a four-wheel drive, all-terrain electric wheelchair, also known as a powerchair, with a motor on every wheel.
Big knobbly tyres, independent suspension and lots of ground clearance let it handle grass, gravel and rough tracks with confidence. And because it comes with full powered seating, you can stay comfortable and well supported while you're out for the day.
✅ Key Features & Benefits
Four motors, one on each wheel
Every wheel drives, so the chair keeps its grip on mud, wet grass and loose ground where a two-wheel drive chair might spin or get stuck.15" air-filled all-terrain tyres
Deep tread and cushioning air help you roll over tree roots, ruts and stones with far fewer jolts through your back and hips.Independent Smooth Ride Suspension
Each wheel moves on its own to follow the ground, keeping you level and steady on bumpy paths.12.5 cm ground clearance and 10 cm kerb climbing
Clears humps, kerbs and uneven ground that would catch the underside of an ordinary chair.Powered tilt, recline and footboard
Change position through the day to relieve pressure and rest — important if you sit for long hours or have sensitive skin.Optional seat elevation
Raises you up to 10 inches, so you can reach a shelf, talk face to face or see over a hedge, and you can still drive at up to 3.2 mph while raised.Full LED lighting as standard
See and be seen on dark afternoons and woodland paths.
Colours available
Matte Cadet or Tan, plus camouflage finishes in Desert, Black, Jungle, Tropic Lightning and White.
Who it suits best
- Outdoor lovers who want to go off the pavement
- People living rurally, on farms or with large gardens
- Users up to 159 kg (25 stone) with Contoured seating
Worth knowing before you buy
The Outback is a big, heavy chair — the power base alone weighs 76.5 kg — and it needs more room to turn than a mid-wheel drive chair, so it isn't the best choice if most of your time is spent in a small home. It isn't yet crash tested, so it shouldn't be used as a seat in a vehicle. If you mainly use pavements and indoors, a standard electric wheelchair will be easier to live with.
