Seat width and depth both adjust, the cushions can be swapped and fine-tuned, and the chair rolls on heavy-duty castors so it can go wherever the person goes.

Worth knowing before you buy

The Melrose is a specialist chair, so it should be chosen and set up after a proper assessment, ideally with input from the user's therapist or nurse. It doesn't rise to help someone stand — for a person who can still get up with a little help, a riser recliner may be more suitable. If a simpler wheeled chair is all that's needed, a basic porter chair costs less.
