The Rea Clematis Pro from Invacare is an entry-level tilt-in-space chair that arrives well equipped.

It comes with a shaped seat cushion, back cushion, trunk supports and an adjustable headrest already included. The carer tilts the seat and reclines the back with gas-assisted controls, so position changes are smooth and easy.

Worth knowing before you buy

The Clematis Pro has 12" transit wheels with foot-operated brakes, so it is designed to be pushed by a carer — the user can't propel it themselves. It comes in three seat widths (390, 440 or 490 mm, plus 25 mm with the armrest spacers). If you need self-propel wheels or a wider choice of sizes and options, a more configurable tilt-in-space wheelchair may be better.
