A riser chair that fits a smaller frame properly

If you're petite, most armchairs leave your feet dangling and a gap behind your back, so you end up perched on the edge — and getting up becomes a wobbly push on the arms. The Cosi Ambassador Small is scaled down so you sit right back, feet flat, with your whole back supported.

At the touch of a button it lifts you smoothly to standing, and when you want to rest it tilts the whole seat back for a properly comfortable doze. Like the rest of the range, it's British made and FIRA tested to UK furniture standards.

✅ Key Features & Benefits

• Sized for shorter people
The smallest of three sizes, so your feet reach the floor and your hips sit back in the seat — far better for your posture and your back.

• Gentle powered lift
Helps you up to your feet without heaving on the arms, which takes pressure off sore wrists, shoulders and knees.

• Tilt-in-space
The seat and back tilt together, so you lean back without sliding forward, and your weight spreads more evenly — kinder to your skin and joints if you sit a lot.

• Variable Angle Lift
The angle of the rise can be adjusted to suit your balance, so standing up feels controlled.

• Dual motors
Move the backrest and footrest independently to find a position that's right for you.

• Anti-entrapment protection
Helps stop the mechanism closing on anything underneath — reassuring if you have pets or grandchildren around.

• Waterfall back and hybrid pocket sprung seat
Soft, layered back cushions with a springy seat that's comfortable for hours but easy to rise from.

• 5-year guarantee
Covers the frame, mechanisms and all electrics.

Colours available

Who it suits best

• Shorter or petite people
• Anyone who finds it hard to stand from a standard armchair
• People who rest or sleep in their chair during the day

Worth knowing before you buy

If you're of average height or taller, the Small will feel cramped and won't support your legs properly — the Medium or Large Ambassador is the better fit. If you only need a lift and recline without tilting the whole seat, a standard dual-motor riser recliner costs less.
