Specifications
Sized for smaller frames, so your feet stay on the floor and your back stays supported
Many riser chairs are simply too big for shorter people. Your feet dangle, your back doesn't reach the cushions, and standing up feels like being tipped out. The Cosi Jubilee Small is built to fix that, with a lower, narrower and shallower seat that fits you properly.
It rises smoothly to help you onto your feet and tilts back as a whole when you want to relax, so you stay sitting well back in the chair rather than sliding forward. It takes users up to 20 stone (127 kg) and is handmade in Britain.
✅ Key Features & Benefits
Small seat size that fits shorter users
With a 45.7 cm (18") seat height, width and depth, your feet can rest flat and your back is supported all the way up. You sit more comfortably, and you're steadier when the chair helps you stand.Tilt-in-space recline
The whole seat tips back together instead of the backrest dropping away. You won't slide down the chair, which is kinder on your lower back and hips.Dual motors
The back and leg rest move on their own, so you can put your feet up while still sitting upright — handy for swollen ankles at the end of the day.Hybrid pocket sprung seat
A springy, supportive base that holds its shape, so you don't sink into the seat and struggle to get up.Back cushions you can reposition
Move them to where you need support most, whether that's your lower back or between your shoulders.5-button handset
Large, simple buttons that are easy to use if your hands are stiff or sore.Washable arm covers and antimacassar
Included as standard to protect the areas that get the most use.5-year guarantee
Frame, mechanism and all electrics covered, on a chair made in Britain.
Colours available
Kilburn Cocoa, Kilburn Mink, Kilburn Oatmeal and Kilburn Plum. Other fabrics can be made to order.
Who it suits best
- Shorter or slighter people who find standard chairs too big
- You struggle to stand up from a normal armchair
- You slide forward or slump when reclining
- Users up to 20 stone (127 kg)
Worth knowing before you buy
The Small has a lower weight limit than the Medium and Large (20 stone rather than 25), and the Variable Angle Lift option is only offered on the Medium and Large sizes. If you're of average height or taller, the Medium will be more comfortable. If you need side support to stay upright, or a carer will be moving you in the chair, a healthcare chair may suit you better.
Questions customers ask us
I'm only about five foot — will this fit me?
The Small is designed for shorter users. The best check is to sit with your back right in: your feet should be flat and your knees roughly level with your hips. We're happy to measure you.
Is there an even smaller size?
Yes, a Petite version can be made to order, with a 40.6 cm (16") seat height and depth.
Can I sit in one first?
Yes. Please call before you come in, as we don't keep every chair in stock — we'll check for you, and if it isn't in the showroom we can usually arrange a demo model. A free home assessment is another option.

More questions about rise and recline chairs
What is a rise and recline chair?
It's an armchair with a motor that gently tilts you forward to help you stand up, and reclines back so you can put your feet up. It's all done with a simple handset.
Single motor or dual motor?
With a single motor the back and leg rest move together. A dual motor lets you move them separately, so you can sit upright with your legs raised.
Why does the size of the chair matter?
A chair that fits you, with your feet flat on the floor and the seat the right depth and width, is more comfortable and helps you stand more easily. We offer free home assessments for riser chairs, so call 01789 339 738 to book.
How much does a riser recliner cost?
It depends on whether it's ready-made or made to measure, the motor type and the fabric. Prices are on each product page. If you have a long-term condition, you may be able to buy it VAT-free.
How is it delivered?
Delivery to mainland UK is free on the base price, or choose Engineer Delivery (£150, or included where the product says so) and we'll deliver it, assemble it, set it up and show you how to use it.
