It comes apart in seconds without tools, so it's easy to take on days out, to see family or away on holiday. At the other end you've got a comfortable 4 mph pavement scooter for shops, appointments and trips into town, with up to 9 miles from a charge.

Worth knowing before you buy

This is a pre-owned Evolite, so it has been used before. Being so light and compact, it's built for short, smooth trips — up to around 9 miles — rather than long distances, steep hills or rough ground. With a low 3.5 cm ground clearance it isn't happy on grass or gravel, and the 18 stone (115 kg) limit is lower than larger scooters. If you want to travel further or ride over rougher ground, a mid-size pavement scooter with suspension will be more comfortable.
