A small, nimble electric wheelchair that comes apart for the car

If your home has narrow doorways and tight corners, or you want a chair you can take on days out in the car, a full-size electric wheelchair can feel like too much. The Quantum Kozmo Portable is a compact electric wheelchair, also known as a powerchair, that turns in a small space and breaks down without tools.

It's simple to drive and just as happy indoors as on the pavement. Six bright colours mean it looks fun and modern rather than medical.

✅ Key Features & Benefits

• Comes apart without tools
The chair separates into pieces that go into a car boot one at a time, so a partner or family member can load it without a toolkit or a struggle.

• Tight 64.6 cm turning circle
Turns round in hallways, small kitchens and between café tables, which makes life at home far less of an obstacle course.

• Easy joystick control
Gentle, intuitive steering that most people pick up quickly — ideal for a first electric wheelchair.

• Up to 10 miles on a charge
Enough for a trip to the shops, a visit and back again, with two 18Ah batteries.

• Removable batteries
Lift the batteries out and charge them indoors, so the chair itself can stay in the car or the garage.

• Solid, puncture-proof tyres
No flat tyres to worry about, so you won't be left stuck on the way home.

• Adjustable seat, armrests and footplate
The seat adjusts from 12" to 18" in width and depth, so smaller adults and younger users can sit properly supported and comfortable.

Colours available

Amber Orange, Citrine Yellow, Pearl White, Rose Quartz, Ruby Red and Sapphire Blue.

Who it suits best

• You want an electric wheelchair you can take in the car
• Your home has tight spaces or narrow doorways
• Smaller adults and younger users up to 113 kg (17.8 stone)
• Shopping trips, days out and getting around indoors

Worth knowing before you buy

The Kozmo is built to be small and portable, so it has only limited suspension and small solid wheels. It manages kerbs of up to 4 cm and gentle slopes, but it isn't meant for grass, gravel or steep hills. If you're a larger build, need more postural support, or want to travel further on rougher ground, a full-size electric wheelchair will suit you better — we're happy to help you compare.

Questions customers ask us

Will it fit in my car?
It comes apart without tools so the pieces load into the boot separately. Call ahead so we can check one's in stock, then bring your car along and we'll check it fits before you decide.

How fast does it go?
Up to 3.6 mph, a comfortable walking pace for pavements and indoors.

Can I try one first?
Yes. We don't keep every chair in stock, so call first and we'll check. If it's not in, we can usually arrange a demo model, or book a home assessment and we'll bring options to you.
