Many heavy-duty electric wheelchairs are so wide they struggle through ordinary doorways. The QUICKIE Q700 M HD takes a different approach: it carries users up to 250 kg (39 stone) on a base that stays around 62 cm wide, so it still fits the home you already live in.

It's a mid-wheel drive chair, which means the drive wheels sit beneath you and it turns in very little space. Stronger seating, sturdier armrests and footplates, and powerful motors give you a chair that feels solid and secure, both around the house and out on the pavement.

Worth knowing before you buy

The Q700 M HD weighs 145–175 kg depending on how it's set up, so it won't fold or go in a car. You'll need a wheelchair-accessible vehicle and level access at home. Its range is shorter than lighter chairs, and kerb climbing is 75 mm, so very rough ground isn't its strength. Every chair is configured to the user, so an assessment comes first.

Will it fit through my doors?
The base is 620–660 mm wide, which fits most standard internal doorways. We can measure up during a home assessment.

Can I travel in it in a vehicle?
It has been crash tested to ISO 7176-19, so it can be used as a seat in a suitably adapted vehicle with the correct restraints.
