Worth knowing before you buy

Rear-wheel drive chairs are longer and need more space to turn — the Q700 R has a 950 mm turning radius. If your home has narrow hallways or a small bathroom, a mid-wheel drive chair will be easier indoors. It's heavy, from about 140 kg, so you'll need a wheelchair-accessible vehicle to take it anywhere. Each chair is built to the user, so an assessment comes first.

Rear-wheel or mid-wheel drive — which should I choose?
Rear-wheel drive is steadier outdoors and at speed; mid-wheel drive turns in a smaller space indoors. We can help you weigh up how you'll use it.
