A little ramp that folds up and comes with you wherever you go

Visiting family, popping into a café or going to an appointment shouldn't depend on whether there's a step at the door. The Enable Access Aerolight Xtra 60 cm is a short, full-width ramp that folds in half like a suitcase, so you can keep it in the car and use it the moment you meet a small step or threshold.

It weighs about 4.4 kg and folds to just 42 cm wide and 10 cm deep, so it slips behind a car seat or into the boot. Open it out and you have a full 76 cm wide surface for a wheelchair, scooter or rollator.

✅ Key Features & Benefits

• Folds like a suitcase
Close it up and carry it like a small case, so it's easy to bring along on visits and days out.

• Only about 4.4 kg
Light enough for most people to lift in and out of the car without help.

• Full 76 cm width when open
Room for both wheels of a wheelchair or scooter, so you're not balancing on narrow tracks.

• Positive clip mechanism
Holds the two halves together securely when folded, so it won't flap open as you carry it.

• Higher kerb edges
Raised safety edges help guide the wheels and stop them slipping off the side.

• Anti-slip surface
A firm grip under tyres and feet, even on a wet doorstep.

• Reflective end caps
Helps people spot the ramp in dim light so nobody trips over it.

• Made in Britain
Built in the UK by Enable Access.

Who it suits best

• Taking a ramp with you on visits and outings
• Low thresholds and small single steps
• Wheelchair users, scooter riders and their carers

Worth knowing before you buy

At 60 cm, this is the shortest Xtra and is meant for low steps and thresholds only. On a higher step the slope would be too steep to use safely, so pick a longer size if your steps are taller. Tell us roughly how high the steps are where you'll use it and we'll help you choose.

Questions customers ask us

Will it fit in my car?
Almost certainly — folded, it's only 42 cm wide and 10 cm deep, and it weighs about 4.4 kg.

Can I use it on someone else's doorstep?
Yes, that's exactly what it's made for. It works on most low steps and thresholds, including uPVC door frames.

Can I see it fold before I buy?
Yes. We don't keep every size in stock, so give us a call first and we'll check — and if it isn't here, we can usually arrange a demo for you.
