Specifications
One pair of ramps that stretches to fit the step in front of you
If you meet different steps and kerbs from one week to the next, a fixed-length ramp is always either too short or too long. The Enable Access Metro Telescopic Channel Ramps slide out from 120cm to 210cm, so you can set the length to suit each step, then shorten them again to carry or store.
They come as a pair of narrow channels, one for each side of a wheelchair. That keeps them slim and easy to handle, making them a good-value choice for wheelchair users and the people who push them.
✅ Key Features & Benefits
Adjusts from 120cm to 210cm
Pull them out for a higher step or a gentler slope, push them in for a low kerb. One set copes with many different situations.Slim channels, easy to carry
Each channel is a narrow track rather than a wide deck, so the pair is much easier to lift and stow than a full-width ramp of the same length.Rated to 270 kg (42 st)
Strong enough for a manual wheelchair and its user, or an electric wheelchair.19cm-wide channels
Each track gives the wheel a guided path up the slope, which helps a carer keep the chair running straight.Made in Britain
Part of Enable Access's good-value Metro range, made in the UK.For thresholds, kerbs and steps
Useful at home, at a friend's house or on a day out wherever there's a step in the way.
Who it suits best
- Carers pushing a manual wheelchair to different places
- Electric wheelchair users who meet steps of varying heights
- Anyone wanting a long ramp that packs down smaller
Worth knowing before you buy
Channel ramps need each set of wheels to run in its own track, so you have to line them up with the wheelchair's wheel spacing before every use. They aren't suitable for three-wheeled scooters, rollators or people walking, because there's no single surface to step or roll on. If that sounds fiddly, or more than one person in the household will use the ramp, a full-width folding suitcase ramp is a better choice.
Questions customers ask us
Can I use these with my scooter?
Only if it has four wheels and you can line both sides up with the channels. For three-wheeled scooters, choose a full-width folding ramp instead.
How long should I set them?
The longer they are, the gentler the slope. Tell us the height of your step and who's using the ramps, and we'll help you find the right setting.

More questions about ramps
How long a ramp do I need?
The longer the ramp, the gentler the slope. Measure the height of the step and call us on 01789 339 738, and we'll help you work out the right length for a wheelchair, scooter or helper.
Portable or threshold ramp?
A threshold ramp sits at a doorway to smooth out a small lip. A portable ramp folds or comes apart so you can take it with you for steps and vehicles.
How much weight will a ramp take?
Check the safe working load on the product page. It needs to cover the combined weight of the person, the wheelchair or scooter and anyone helping.
Can I use a ramp to load my car?
Some ramps are designed for vehicles. Check the product page, and tell us your vehicle so we can suggest the right one.
Can I get VAT relief?
If you have a long-term illness or disability and it's for your own personal use, you may be able to buy qualifying products without paying VAT. Just ask us and we'll help you with the simple declaration.
