What's included
The Motability Scheme lets you exchange part of your mobility allowance for a new scooter or electric wheelchair (also known as a powerchair), leased for three years.

Servicing and maintenance are included, so there are no surprise repair bills.

Comprehensive insurance is provided as part of the package.

It's paid from your allowance, so you know exactly where you stand.

An all-inclusive lease for three years, then you can choose a new scooter or electric wheelchair.
Who can join?
To join the scheme you must receive one of these allowances, with at least 12 months left on your award:
- Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
- Enhanced Rate Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
- War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement (WPMS)
- Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP)
