Extra reach and extra width for loading into higher vehicles

Vans, people carriers and minibuses sit higher off the ground than a car boot, and a short ramp at that height gets steep very quickly. The Enable Access Aerolight Broadfold 180 cm gives you more length for a gentler run, plus a full-width deck so wide scooters and powerchairs fit comfortably.

It folds in half to 95 cm long, 19 cm deep and 76 cm wide, and weighs about 13.5 kg. Four rigid handles make it easier for you or a carer to lift and line up, and it's rated for up to 350 kg (55 st).

✅ Key Features & Benefits

• 180 cm for a gentler loading slope
More length means less of a climb into a higher vehicle — easier on the scooter, the rider and whoever is helping.

• Lip that hooks securely onto the vehicle
The full-width lip locates firmly on the sill, so the ramp doesn't shift as you load.

• 350 kg (55 st) capacity
Ready for heavier scooters and electric wheelchairs.

• Folds to 95 cm long
Halves its length for storage in a van, garage or larger boot.

• Four rigid handles
More places to hold, so lifting and positioning feels more balanced.

• Wide platform for any wheelbase
Room for scooters with 3, 4 or 5 wheels, wheelchairs and rollators.

• Anti-slip grip surface
Helps wheels and feet hold steady in damp weather.

• 2-year warranty
Covered by Enable Access's manufacturer's warranty.

Who it suits best

• Loading into vans, people carriers, taxis and minibuses
• Owners of larger or heavier scooters and powerchairs
• Families and carers who help with loading

Worth knowing before you buy

At 13.5 kg and nearly a metre long even when folded, this isn't a ramp for a small hatchback, and it's best handled by someone with reasonable strength. If you're only tackling a low step at home, a lighter one-piece or suitcase-style ramp will be easier. Enable Access advises checking the ramp length against the height you need to reach — we're happy to measure up with you.

Questions customers ask us

Will it work on a minibus or taxi?
Yes — the Broadfold range is designed for vehicle loading, including taxi and minibus use. We'll help you check the length against your step or floor height.

Is it too heavy to lift on my own?
It weighs about 13.5 kg. Many people manage it with the four handles, but if you'd struggle, talk to us about lighter options.

Can I see how it folds before I buy?
Yes. We don't keep every size in stock, so give us a call first and we'll check — and if it isn't here, we can usually arrange a demo for you.
