Make the front step easy again, without building anything permanent

When the front step becomes a struggle, it can start to feel like your own home is keeping you in. A permanent ramp isn't always possible — you might rent, or simply not want building work. The Enable Access Aerolight Classic 120 cm is a portable ramp that gives you a safe, gentle way in and out whenever you need it.

It's one solid length of aluminium, about 7.1 kg, with a full-width surface for wheelchairs, scooters and walking frames. Lay it in place, roll up, and lift it away afterwards — no tools and no fixings.

✅ Key Features & Benefits

• A gentler slope over a typical front step
At 120 cm long it spreads the rise over a longer distance, so it's easier on whoever is pushing and less of a climb for a scooter.

• No fixing or building work
Ideal if you rent or don't want a permanent ramp. Put it out when you need it and store it away afterwards.

• One rigid piece
Nothing to unfold or lock, so it's quick for you or a carer to set up.

• Wide 76 cm platform
Plenty of room for wheelchair wheels, scooter tyres or a walking frame.

• Textured anti-slip surface
Gives reassuring grip outdoors in the wet.

• Secure lip grip
Sits firmly on the edge of the step so the ramp doesn't shuffle as you cross.

• Reflective end caps
Helps everyone see the ramp clearly in poor light.

• Made in Britain
Built in the UK by Enable Access.

Worth knowing before you buy

At around 7 kg and 120 cm long, it's very manageable at home but bulky to carry about, as it doesn't fold. If you want a ramp to take out in the car, choose a folding one. For very high or multiple steps, a longer or permanent ramp is safer — we're happy to help you work out what you need.

Questions customers ask us

Will it suit my mobility scooter?
Yes, the full-width deck takes scooters as well as wheelchairs. Check your scooter and rider weight together against the ramp's rating, and tell us your step height so we can confirm the slope.

Can I leave it outside?
The surface is designed for wet and dry conditions, but lifting it in after use keeps it out of the way and stops anyone tripping over it.

Can I see one before I buy?
Yes. We don't keep every size in stock, so give us a call first and we'll check — and if it isn't here, we can usually arrange a demo for you.
