Worth knowing before you buy

A boot hoist needs to be matched to both your equipment and your car — the hoist must lift the full weight of your chair or scooter, and the boot opening and space must be big enough for it to fit. If your chair is light and folds, you may not need a hoist at all; a lightweight folding wheelchair or a boot scooter that comes apart could be simpler.
