A strong, steady charge for bigger scooters and electric wheelchairs

A tired or faulty charger can leave you with a scooter that runs out halfway round town, or a chair that never quite reaches a full battery. The Black Box 24v 8 amp Charger is a dependable replacement for larger mobility scooters and electric wheelchairs (also known as powerchairs) that run on 24-volt battery packs.

It suits AGM and gel batteries up to 100 Ah, the bigger batteries found on road scooters and outdoor chairs. Plug it in at night, and a simple set of coloured lights tells you how the charge is going, so you can head out in the morning knowing the batteries are full.

✅ Key Features & Benefits

• Charges AGM and gel batteries up to 100 Ah
Made for the larger battery packs used on road scooters and outdoor electric wheelchairs, so you get a proper full charge rather than a partial top-up.

• Intelligent 3-stage charging
It changes how it charges as the batteries fill, bringing them right up to 100% and helping them last longer between replacements.

• Traffic-light progress display
Three simple coloured lights show how far along the charge is. No small numbers to read, which helps if your eyesight isn't what it was.

• Built-in cooling fan
Keeps the charger at a safe working temperature during long overnight charges.

• Standard round 3-pin charging plug
The common round connector used on many scooters and electric wheelchairs.

• 8 amp output
A strong charging current that suits big batteries, so they're ready again after a night on charge.

Who it suits best

• Owners of larger 24-volt mobility scooters
• Electric wheelchair users with AGM or gel batteries
• Anyone replacing a lost, damaged or worn-out charger

Worth knowing before you buy

This charger is for 24-volt AGM or gel batteries up to 100 Ah. It isn't the right choice for lithium batteries, and on small boot scooters with little batteries a lower-amp charger is usually a better match. Charging plugs vary between makes, so please check the socket on your scooter or chair is the round 3-pin type before ordering.
