It's a light, compact pavement scooter for trips to the shops, a garden centre or a day away with family. At 27.5 kg with its battery, and with an airline-safe lithium battery, it's made for people who like to get out and about and don't want their scooter to hold them back.

  Stand back and fold it from the fob, or press the button on the tiller. Whoever is with you can do it just as easily.

• Lift-out lithium battery
  The battery comes out and weighs about 2 kg, which takes the scooter down to 25.5 kg and makes the lift into a boot that bit easier. It can also be charged on or off the scooter.

• Airline-safe battery
  The 10Ah lithium battery is the type most airlines accept, so the scooter can come on holiday with you. Always check with your airline before you fly.

• Solid puncture-proof tyres
  No flat tyres to deal with when you're out, and nothing to pump up — one less thing to worry about.

• Height-adjustable delta tiller
  The wrap-around handle is easy to hold if your grip is weak, and you can set it to a height that keeps your arms and shoulders relaxed.

• Automatic brakes and anti-rollback
  Let go of the lever and the scooter stops. It won't roll backwards when you pause on a slope, so dropped kerbs and ramps feel less daunting.

• Padded seat with flip-up armrests
  Comfortable for a morning out, and the armrests lift out of the way so getting on and off from the side is simpler.

Worth knowing before you buy

Folding saves the bending, but someone still has to lift 25.5 kg into the boot, so many customers pair it with a boot hoist or have a helper. It has small solid wheels and no suspension, and a range of around 9 miles, so it's best on smooth pavements and indoors. If you want longer trips, grass or rougher paths, a larger pavement scooter with suspension will be more comfortable.

How small does it get when folded?
About 44 cm long, 62 cm wide and 64 cm high, so it fits in many small and medium car boots. Bring your measurements in and we'll check.

Can I use it on the road?
No. It's a Class 2 scooter with a top speed of 4 mph, made for pavements, shops and footpaths.
