Specifications
A wheelchair that adapts to you, so you can get on with your day
If you want to push yourself around but your current chair feels heavy, awkward or doesn't quite fit, it soon puts you off going out. The Karma Agile Self-Propel is a folding manual wheelchair that can be adjusted in lots of small ways, so it can be set up to suit your body and the way you move.
It has quick-release rear wheels for loading into the car, flip-back armrests for easier sideways transfers and a backrest that can fold down. It's also crash tested, so it can be used as a seat in a suitable vehicle.
✅ Key Features & Benefits
Adjustable rear wheel position
Moving the axle lets you choose a steadier set-up or a more nimble one — helpful if you're new to self-propelling or want the chair to turn more easily.Quick-release rear wheels
The big wheels come off without tools, making the chair smaller and lighter to lift into a car boot.Flip-back armrests
Swing the arms out of the way to slide across to a bed, sofa or car seat — easier on your shoulders and safer for carers.Crash tested for vehicle travel
Approved to ISO 7176-19, so you can stay in the chair as a seat in a suitably adapted vehicle.Folds compactly
The frame folds to around 28 cm wide, and a folding backrest is available, so it stores easily at home.Removable footrests
Take them off to get closer to a table or for standing transfers; elevating leg rests are available as an option.Supports up to 125 kg
A maximum user weight of 125 kg (19.7 st), so it suits a wide range of people.
Colours available
Black.
Who it suits best
- People who want to propel themselves day to day
- Users who need a chair set up to fit them
- Anyone who travels in a wheelchair-accessible vehicle
Worth knowing before you buy
Depending on how it's set up, the Agile weighs about 12 to 15 kg, so it isn't an ultra-light chair. If lifting is your main worry, an ultra-lightweight folding chair may suit you better. If you'll mostly be pushed by someone else, the Agile Transit version with smaller rear wheels is easier for carers.
Questions customers ask us
Will it fit in my car?
It folds to about 28 cm wide and the rear wheels come off, which makes it easier to fit in a car boot. Tell us your car and we'll help you check.
Can I use it in a taxi or minibus?
Yes. It's crash tested to ISO 7176-19, so it can be used as a seat in a suitably equipped vehicle.
Can I try one first?
We don't keep every wheelchair in stock, so call us first and we'll check. If it isn't in, we can usually arrange a demo model.
