Mid-wheel drive puts the driving wheels right underneath you, so the chair can turn in a very small space. The Karma Morgan M Sling uses that to make kitchens, hallways and bathrooms much easier to get round, while six-wheel independent suspension keeps the ride smooth on paths and dropped kerbs outside.

Its sling seat is designed for people with low to medium seating needs. It adjusts to fit you, the armrests flip back for transfers, and you can add power tilt or recline if you'd like to change position through the day. It's crash tested, so it can come with you in an adapted vehicle too.

Worth knowing before you buy

This is a full-size powerchair that weighs between about 128 and 151 kg with batteries, depending on battery size, so it won't go in a car boot — a folding powerchair is better if you need to lift it. It's a prescription model that Karma builds to order, so we'll assess you first. If you need more postural support or a powered seat lift, the Morgan M with Versus seating is the better choice.

Questions customers ask us

Will it fit through my doorways?
Karma gives the overall width as around 60 cm, rising to about 69 cm depending on set-up. We'll measure your doorways as part of a home assessment.

What's the difference between the Sling and the Versus?
They share the same mid-wheel-drive base. The Sling has a simpler adjustable seat; the Versus has rehab seating with up to four powered functions for more complex needs.
