Get off the pavement and back onto the paths you love

Grass, gravel, rutted lanes and uneven village paths can stop a manual wheelchair in its tracks, because the small front castors sink, catch and jolt. The Klaxon Klick Scrambler fixes onto the front of your own chair and gives you a wide, grippy wheel with plenty of pulling power, so rougher ground stops being a no-go.

It's built for people who live in the countryside or simply want more than town streets — dog walks, country parks, the allotment or the beach car park. When you're home, it unclips and your everyday chair is just as it was.

✅ Key Features & Benefits

• Extra-wide 14-inch tyre
Grips on grass, gravel and loose paths where narrow castors dig in, so you get stuck far less and feel fewer bumps through your back and neck.

• 750 W motor with strong 65 Nm torque
The pulling power to climb slopes and push through softer ground without you straining your shoulders and arms.

• Double-calliper disc brakes
Firm, confident stopping on hills and loose surfaces, together with electronic braking as standard.

• Optional tetra handlebar
A push-and-pull control with thumb buttons, made for people with reduced hand and finger movement.

• Three battery sizes
From a light battery for short outings to a larger one Klaxon rates at 45–50 km on the flat, so a long day out doesn't need careful planning.

• Cruise control and five speeds plus reverse
Hold a steady pace on long tracks and back out of tight spots easily.

Colours available

Choose your battery cover colour: Reflex, light blue, blue, pink, red or yellow.

Who it suits best

• Manual wheelchair users who live rurally or love the outdoors
• Regular trips over grass, gravel, cobbles or uneven paths
• People who want serious power but prefer to keep their own chair
• Users up to 120 kg (18 st 13 lb)

Worth knowing before you buy

At 11.8 kg the Scrambler is heavier than a town-focused unit, so lifting it into a car takes more effort — if you mostly stay on pavements and need something easy to lift, a lighter front-mounted add-on is the better choice. You also need a compatible manual wheelchair and enough arm and hand control to steer — we'll go through this with you first.

Questions customers ask us

Will it fit my wheelchair?
Klaxon has fittings for many rigid and folding frames, with a central link or a side link for tapered fronts. We'll check your chair's make, model and frame size before ordering.

Can I try one before I buy?
Yes. We don't keep every model in stock, so give us a call first and we'll check it's in the showroom — and if it isn't, we can usually arrange a demo model for you. You can also book a free home assessment.
