Worth knowing before you buy

The Twist R is a gentle assist rather than a high-speed unit — Klaxon gives a top speed of 10 km/h (about 6 mph) and a range of around 20 km per battery. It isn't designed for rough, muddy ground; if you want to tackle grass and gravel, a front-mounted all-terrain add-on with a bigger wheel will do better. The linking plate has to match your chair's wheel size (22, 24, 25 or 26 inch), so we'll check your chair first.

Can I take it on a plane?
Klaxon describes the 144 Wh battery as flight-friendly, with up to two allowed on a flight. Always check with your airline before you travel.

Can I try one before I buy?
