Specifications
An easy-to-carry scooter that doesn't skimp on comfort
Many portable scooters are light but give a bumpy, basic ride. The Kymco K-Lite Comfort is different: it has suspension at both ends and a breathable swivel seat, yet it comes apart into pieces light enough to lift into a car boot, with the heaviest at about 12.9 kg.
It's a straightforward, good-value way to get out to the shops, visit friends or enjoy a day out, with up to 10 miles from a charge. The battery box simply lifts out with no plugs or wires, so charging indoors is easy.

Who it suits best
- You need a scooter that fits in the car boot
- Shorter trips of up to around 10 miles on pavements and shop floors
- Riders up to 19.7 stone (125 kg)
- You want comfort and good value in a portable scooter
Worth knowing before you buy
The K-Lite Comfort is a Class 2 portable scooter with small wheels and a 4 mph top speed, best on smooth pavements and indoors rather than grass or gravel. It has no lights fitted as standard, so it's not ideal for riding after dark. Its lead-acid battery makes it heavier overall (about 39 kg) than lithium models — if you need the lightest possible lift or a longer range, look at a lithium boot scooter instead.
