Make your front step easy again, without building anything

A full-height front step can leave you feeling stuck at home once you rely on a wheelchair or scooter. You don't always need building work to fix it. The 120cm Enable Access Metro Folding Ramp is long enough to give a comfortable slope over a typical doorstep, yet it still folds away when visitors arrive or the bins need to go out.

It weighs about 9.1kg and folds in half lengthways like a suitcase, so it can live by the door or travel in a larger car boot.

✅ Key Features & Benefits

• 120cm long for a comfortable slope
Spreads the climb over more distance, so a carer can push a wheelchair up without heaving, and scooter riders feel more in control.

• No fitting or building work
Unfold it, set it on the step and you're ready. Ideal if you rent, or if you'd rather not alter the front of the house.

• Takes up to 270 kg (42 st)
Handles heavier electric wheelchairs and mobility scooters with the rider seated, as well as manual chairs.

• Folds to 38cm wide
When it's not in use, it stands neatly in a porch or hallway rather than blocking the path.

• One-piece 72cm surface
Both wheels run on the same ramp, so there's no need to line up two separate tracks.

• Made in Britain
Designed and built in the UK by Enable Access, and covered by a 12-month warranty.

Who it suits best

• Homes with one standard front or back doorstep
• Families who care for someone in a wheelchair at home
• Scooter riders who want to get out of the front door without help

Worth knowing before you buy

At around 9.1kg this ramp is heavier than the shorter versions, so think about who will be lifting it each day. If it will stay at the same door permanently, an adjustable relocatable ramp may be easier to live with. If your step is higher than average, or you have two steps, the 150cm or 180cm lengths will give a gentler slope.
