Its magnesium alloy frame weighs about 12.5 kg once the battery is out, so it folds down and goes into a car boot without a struggle. The lithium battery is the travel-friendly kind, which means the chair can come away with you rather than staying at home.

Worth knowing before you buy

The Air Pro is built to be light, and that brings limits. The range is up to 6 miles, there's no suspension, and it's happiest on smooth pavements, shop floors and indoor spaces rather than grass, gravel or steep hills. If you want to be out all day, cover longer distances or need a softer ride, a folding powerchair with a bigger battery or suspension, or a heavier standard powerchair, will suit you better.

Will it go in my car boot?
It folds to about 67 x 28 x 72 cm, so it fits most hatchbacks and estates. Tell us your car and we'll help you check.

Can I try it before I buy?
Yes. We don't keep every model in stock, so give us a call first and we'll check it's in the showroom — and if it isn't, we can usually arrange a demo model for you. You can also book a free home assessment.
