Worth knowing before you buy

The Onyx is a full-size road scooter at around 92 kg. It doesn't fold or come apart, so if you need to take your scooter in the car, a boot scooter is the better choice. Ground clearance is 6 cm, so take high kerbs carefully, and it needs about 1.9 metres to turn. Monarch states it isn't suitable for air, coach or cruise travel. As a Class 3 scooter it needs free DVLA registration.

Yes. As a Class 3 scooter it runs at 4 mph on pavements and up to 8 mph on the road.
