Many electric wheelchairs feel cramped or flimsy if you're a bigger build. The Monarch Super is made for exactly that: a heavy-duty mid-wheel electric wheelchair, also called a powerchair, that carries up to 32 stone (203 kg) and gives you a wide 51 cm scooter-style captain's seat to sit in.

It turns neatly indoors, and full suspension smooths out the pavement. Up to 25 miles on a charge means you can plan a proper day out.

Worth knowing before you buy

This is a big, solid chair: about 114 kg with batteries and 81 kg without, and it doesn't fold, so it isn't one for the car boot. You'll need level access, room to turn and somewhere to charge it. It's built for pavements, paths and indoors rather than steep hills or rough ground. If you need a chair that travels in the car, a folding powerchair — including heavy-duty folding models — is a better fit.

Will it fit through my doors?
It's 66 cm wide, so it suits most standard internal doors. Measure your narrowest doorway and we'll check it with you.

Do you set it up for me?
Yes. Our engineer delivers it and sets it up at home, showing you how to drive and charge it.

Can I try it before I buy?
Yes. We don't keep every model in stock, so give us a call first and we'll check it's in the showroom — and if it isn't, we can usually arrange a demo model for you. You can also book a free home assessment.
