It carries up to 28.3 stone and has the most powerful motor in Motion's range, so climbing slopes and covering distance feels relaxed rather than laboured.

It's a Class 3 road scooter that goes up to 8 mph and up to 30 miles on a charge. Large air-filled tyres, suspension on every wheel and a padded captain's seat make it a comfortable place to sit for a long run out to the shops, the park or to visit friends.

Worth knowing before you buy

The Xcursion is a big scooter: it weighs 148 kg, is 166.5 cm long and needs about 2 metres to turn round. It won't go in a car, so you'll need a garage, shed or secure space with a socket to store and charge it. As a Class 3 scooter it needs registering with the DVLA (free). If you need something to take in the car, look at a boot or folding scooter instead.

Can I use it on the road?
Yes. It's Class 3, so you can ride at up to 8 mph on the road; you switch to 4 mph for pavements.

Is there a canopy for rainy days?
Motion offers an optional canopy, with or without side panels. Ask us about adding one.

Can I test drive it?
Yes. We don't keep every model in stock, so give us a call first and we'll check — if it isn't in the showroom, we can usually arrange a demo model. We also offer a free home assessment.
