Solid support at home, slim enough for narrow doorways and hallways
A walking frame is often the first thing a physio suggests when your balance feels unsure, after a fall, or while you recover from an operation. The trouble is that many frames are too wide to get through older doorways, between furniture or into a small bathroom. The Drive Ultra Narrow Walking Frame is built slimmer, so you can keep moving round your own home safely.
It's made from lightweight aluminium at just 2.5 kg, with a wide-set stance and soft grips, and comes in two heights so it fits you properly.
✅ Key Features & Benefits
Narrow frame for tight spaces
Fits through cottage doorways, along narrow landings and into smaller bathrooms and kitchens, so you don't have to leave your frame behind in the next room.Wide, stable stance
Four legs set on a broad base give you steady support to lean on, which builds confidence if you're unsteady or getting back on your feet after illness or surgery.Only 2.5 kg
Easy to lift and place forward with each step, even if your arms or shoulders aren't strong.Push-button height adjustment
Quick to set to the right height, so you stand upright rather than bending over the frame.Soft-feel hand grips
Comfortable to hold for longer — helpful if you have arthritis or sore hands.Wipe-clean surfaces
Simple to keep clean, which matters if you use it in the bathroom or kitchen.
Who it suits best
- Indoor use in homes with narrow doorways and hallways
- You need firm, steady support while your balance or strength returns
- Users up to 25 stone (160 kg)
Worth knowing before you buy
A standard frame has to be lifted with each step, which can be tiring over longer distances. If you'd find it easier to glide the frame along, a wheeled walking frame is worth a look, and for walking outdoors a rollator with a seat is usually more practical. If a physiotherapist or occupational therapist has advised a particular type, bring their advice and we'll match it.
