A nearly-new powered chair for getting about at home and outdoors

Moving around the house, getting to the shops and joining family on an outing shouldn't wear you out. This pre-owned Invacare Aviva RX20 was built in 2024, so it's a very recent chair, and it comes at a lower price than buying new.

It's an electric wheelchair (also known as a powerchair) with rear-wheel drive and a backrest you can recline by hand. The driving base is about 56 cm wide, so it slips through most doorways, and two 50 Ah batteries give a quoted range of up to 25 miles. This one is finished in blue, with its seat and bodywork rated excellent.

Worth knowing before you buy

This is a single pre-owned chair, so once it's gone, it's gone. It has no lights or indicators, so it's better suited to pavements in daylight than roads after dark. It's a solid chair of around 150 kg and doesn't fold for a car boot, so if you travel by car a folding electric wheelchair may suit you better. Seat size matters for comfort, so we'd always recommend sitting in it first.
