Mid-wheel drive means the drive wheels sit right under you, so it turns in its own length. That makes it easy to live with in a normal home, while its suspension and lights mean it's happy outdoors as well.

Worth knowing before you buy

This is one pre-owned chair, so its seat size and features are as listed and can't be changed to order. At 173 kg it doesn't fold or come apart for a car boot, so you'll need a wheelchair-accessible vehicle to take it out. Mid-wheel drive chairs are best on pavements and paths; on very steep or rough ground a rear-wheel drive chair can cope better. A seating assessment is the best way to check it fits you.
