Specifications
A travel scooter that breaks down into light, easy pieces
Lifting a whole scooter into a boot isn't realistic for everyone. The Pride Apex Alumalite 2.0 solves that by coming apart into five pieces without tools, using one hand, with the heaviest section weighing 11.8 kg. That puts car trips, holidays and visits to family back within easy reach.
This updated version has a new delta tiller and an extended footplate, giving you more legroom and a comfortable, natural grip. Its 12Ah lithium battery is airline-friendly and gives up to 11.5 miles on a charge, so you can see the sights at your own pace.
✅ Key Features & Benefits
Five light pieces, heaviest just 11.8 kg
Much easier to load than one heavy lump — a real help if you have a weak back, or a partner who does the lifting.Airline-friendly lithium battery
The 12Ah battery weighs 2.5 kg and is designed for air travel, so the scooter can come on holiday. Always check with your airline before you fly.Tool-free, one-handed take-apart
Seat and frame separate without tools, which matters if your hands are stiff or you're doing it on your own.New delta tiller
The wrap-around handle lets you steer with either hand or both, easing the strain on sore wrists and fingers.Extended footplate for more legroom
Space to sit with your legs more relaxed — better for stiff knees and taller riders.Lightweight aluminium frame
Keeps the whole scooter to 34.3 kg with the battery, while still feeling sturdy underneath you.Dual braking and anti-tip wheels
Extra peace of mind when stopping on slopes and getting on and off.Front basket and solid 8" wheels
Somewhere to put your bag, and tyres that never go flat.
Colours available
Matte Black and Matte Grey.
Who it suits best
- Holidaymakers and frequent car travellers
- People who can't lift a heavy scooter but can manage lighter pieces
- Shopping centres, attractions, cruise terminals and level pavements
- Riders up to 120 kg (18 st 13 lb)
Worth knowing before you buy
The Alumalite 2.0 is a compact 4 mph travel scooter with no suspension and small solid wheels, so it's happiest on smooth ground and you'll feel bumpy pavements more than on a larger scooter. It's not for the road, grass or gravel. If you want a softer ride, a longer range or more room, a mid-size pavement scooter with suspension is the better choice.
