Big 13" air-filled tyres, suspension front and rear and a high-back comfort seat make it a relaxed scooter for longer days out: into town, along country lanes or across to see the grandchildren. Add a second battery and you can go up to 44 miles before plugging in.

Worth knowing before you buy

The Pursuit 2.0 is a full-size road scooter. It weighs around 100 kg without its battery and is nearly 1.5 m long, so it isn't designed to go in a car and you'll need a garage, shed or scooter store. Its turning circle suits roads and wide pavements better than small shops. If you need to take a scooter in the car, look at a boot scooter; if you'd like a more compact scooter for town, a mid-size pavement model may suit you better.

Can I use it on the road?
Yes. It's a Class 3 scooter, so it can go on the road at up to 8 mph and on the pavement at 4 mph. It needs registering with the DVLA, which is free.

How far will it really go?
Pride quote up to 34.8 miles (56 km) on one battery and up to 44 miles (72 km) with two. Hills, cold weather and rider weight all reduce this.
