Worth knowing before you buy

The Colt Sport is built for pavements and roads. It sits quite low to the ground, so it isn't suited to grass, gravel tracks or deep kerbs — a scooter with bigger wheels and more clearance will cope better there. Its range is up to 16.7 miles, which suits local trips; if you plan long days out, look at a scooter with larger batteries. As a Class 3 scooter it needs registering with the DVLA, which is free.

Questions customers ask us

Will it go in my car?
It comes apart, but the heaviest piece is just under 30 kg and the whole scooter weighs 68 kg without batteries, so it suits people with a helper and a good-sized boot. If you'll be lifting it yourself, a lightweight folding scooter is a better fit.

Can I use the pavement as well?
Yes. Switch to 4 mph on the pavement and up to 8 mph on the road.
