Older houses, cottages and flats often have narrow doors, tight landings and small bathrooms that a standard chair simply can't get through. The Quantum Edge 3 Stretto is a mid-wheel drive electric wheelchair, also known as a powerchair, built on a base just 52 cm wide, so you can reach the rooms you actually need to use.
Narrow doesn't mean basic. You still get Quantum's independent Smooth Ride Suspension, a tight turning circle, a choice of rehab seating and powered positioning, plus the optional iLevel lift that raises you up to 30 cm. It is a full-featured chair in a slimmer frame, designed to fit your home rather than forcing you to change it.

Worth knowing before you buy
Because the Stretto is built narrow, it suits smaller frames, and the seat sizes are more limited than on the standard Edge 3. If you need a wider seat, the standard Edge 3 is the better option. It is a specialist chair, so the final price depends on the seating and options chosen, and it needs a wheelchair-accessible vehicle for travel as it doesn't fold. We recommend an assessment so we can check your home and find the right set-up.

How much does a custom wheelchair cost?
Every chair is specified to order, so the price depends on the base model and the options you choose. We'll price it up clearly for you after your assessment, with no pressure. If you have a long-term condition, you may be able to buy it VAT-free.
Do I need an assessment?

How long does a custom wheelchair take to arrive?
Custom chairs are built to order by the manufacturer, so it takes longer than buying from stock. We'll tell you the expected time when you order and keep you updated.
Can I use Motability?
