Turn neatly at home, then head out for the day with confidence

Some powerchairs are great indoors but nervous outside; others are the reverse. The QUICKIE Q400 M is a mid-wheel drive electric wheelchair (also known as a powerchair) built to handle both — tight turns in the kitchen, then a long run along the pavements into town.

Six independently sprung wheels keep the ride smooth and steady, and the Sedeo Lite seat is adjusted to fit you. With the larger batteries it can cover up to 25 miles, so you can plan a proper day out rather than a quick trip.

✅ Key Features & Benefits

• Mid-wheel drive for tight turning
The drive wheels sit right under you, so the chair turns in a small space — a big help in narrow hallways, bathrooms and busy shops.

• Up to 40 km (25 miles) range
With the 80 Ah batteries you can go further between charges, which takes the worry out of long days.

• Suspension on all six wheels
Each wheel moves on its own, softening bumps and dropped kerbs, with anti-pitch technology to steady the chair on slopes.

• Low seat height from 415 mm
Lets you pull up under most tables and desks, and helps when travelling in a wheelchair-accessible vehicle.

• Sedeo Lite seating, easy to adjust
Seat width and depth are adjusted with one tool, with a height-adjustable back. A Flexi-Back option contours to the spine for people with a curved back.

• Alternative controls available
Mini joysticks, head controls and other options can be fitted if a standard joystick isn't right for your hands.

Who it suits best

• People who use their chair both at home and out on pavements every day
• Anyone who wants a longer range for full days out
• Users with curved backs who need shaped back support
• Users who need to sit at a table or desk comfortably

Worth knowing before you buy

The Q400 M is a full-size powerchair, weighing from about 130 kg, so it won't fold or go in a car boot — look at a folding powerchair if you need that. Kerbs are limited to about 75 mm, so for rougher ground or higher kerbs a more outdoor-focused chair may suit you better. The final spec is chosen at assessment and affects the price.

Questions customers ask us

How far will it go on a charge?
Up to 40 km (25 miles) with the 80 Ah batteries. Range depends on the batteries chosen, your weight, hills and the weather.

Can it be set up for my posture?
Yes. The seat is adjusted to your body, and the Flexi-Back option is designed for curved or twisted spines.

Can I try one before I decide?
Yes. We don't keep every model in stock, so give us a call first and we'll check what's in the showroom — and if it isn't here, we can usually arrange a demo model for you. You can also book a free home assessment.
