Rise from sitting to standing — and meet the world at eye level

Sitting all day can leave you stiff and looking up at everyone around you. The QUICKIE Q700-UP M is a mid-wheel drive electric wheelchair, also known as a powerchair, that can take you smoothly from sitting to a supported standing position at the touch of a control.

Sunrise Medical developed it for people living with conditions such as paraplegia, MS and cerebral palsy. Standing lets you reach a high shelf, cook at the worktop or talk to a friend face to face.

✅ Key Features & Benefits

  • Power standing from your seat
Stand up without transferring out of the chair — for reaching, for conversation or simply for a change of position.

  • Sedeo Pro Advanced UP seating
Seat, armrests and centre-mounted legrest are adjusted to your body, so you stay well supported as you rise.

  • Power recline to 175°
Lie back almost flat to rest or ease pressure on your back and bottom, with a backrest designed to limit rubbing on your skin.

  • Memory seating
Save up to six positions and return to them with one command.

  • Mid-wheel drive with six-wheel suspension
Turns in a small space indoors, and every wheel moves on its own to soften bumps outside.

  • Low 430 mm seat height
Low enough for many wheelchair-accessible vehicles, and to pull up close to a table.

  • Crash tested to ISO 7176-19
Can be used as a seat in a suitable vehicle when secured correctly.

Colours available

Black frame with a choice of 7 colour accents.

Who it suits best

  • You use a powerchair all day and would like to stand during it
  • You live with paraplegia, MS, cerebral palsy or a similar condition
  • You need tailored seating with recline and memory positions

Worth knowing before you buy

This specialist chair weighs from around 150 kg, so it doesn't fold and needs a wheelchair-accessible vehicle. Standing is for level ground only. Each chair is configured to the user, so an assessment is essential — and standing isn't right for everyone, so talk to your clinician too. It isn't currently available on the Motability Scheme. If you don't need to stand, a standard mid-wheel drive powerchair is simpler and lighter.

Questions customers ask us

Can I drive while standing?
No — standing is for level ground. Safety interlocks stop it standing on slopes, and the 6° slope limit applies to seated driving.

How far will it go?
Up to 40 km (25 miles) on 80Ah batteries. Your weight, hills and the ground all make a difference.

Can I try one?
Yes. We don't keep every model in stock, so call us first and we'll check — if there isn't one in the showroom, we can usually arrange a demo chair. We also offer a free home assessment.
