Worth knowing before you buy

The Rio is built to be light and portable, so it's designed for smooth pavements, shop floors and indoors. It has low ground clearance (23 mm) and only climbs obstacles of about 25 mm, so it isn't suited to high kerbs, grass or gravel. Range is around 7 to 10 miles depending on your weight. If you need to travel further, tackle rougher ground or need more support, a larger mid-wheel drive electric wheelchair is a better fit.
