Lift yourself up to reach, cook and chat with ease

When you use a wheelchair, a lot of the world sits just out of reach: the top cupboard, the kettle at the back of the worktop, a friend standing at the bar. The Rascal Ryley Seat Lift is a mid-wheel drive electric wheelchair (also known as a powerchair) with an elevating seat that raises you up, so those everyday things come back within reach.

It is compact, at 60 cm wide and 88 cm long, and turns very tightly, which makes it well suited to life at home, in shops and in busy places where space is short.

✅ Key Features & Benefits

• Powered elevating seat
Raise yourself to worktop and shelf height, or to eye level with people standing. A real boost to independence in the kitchen and around the house.

• Very compact and tight-turning
Only 60 cm wide with a 64 cm turning radius, so you can move between rooms and around furniture without a three-point turn.

• Mid-wheel drive
The drive wheels sit under the middle of the chair, letting it pivot neatly in small spaces.

• Swivel seat
Turn the seat to the side for easier transfers to a bed, sofa or chair, with less twisting of your back.

• Padded seat with adjustable armrests
Set the arms to a comfortable height so your shoulders stay relaxed while you drive.

• Simple joystick control
Easy to pick up, even if you have never used a powerchair before.

• Solid, puncture-proof tyres
No flats and no pumping up, so the chair is always ready to go.

• Anti-tip wheels and lap belt
Extra security that helps you and your family feel confident, especially when the seat is raised.

Colours available

Green Lightning or Sunset Orange.

Who it suits best

• You want to reach higher surfaces at home without standing
• Your home has narrow hallways or small rooms
• Mostly indoor use, plus pavements and shops
• Users up to 21 stone (136 kg)

Worth knowing before you buy

The Ryley is built for tight spaces and everyday reach, with a top speed of 4 mph and solid tyres that suit smooth floors and pavements best. It is not designed for rough paths, grass or long country trips, and weighing 97 kg it is not a chair for lifting into a car. If you are over 21 stone, or want a softer ride outdoors, look at a heavy-duty chair with suspension and air-filled tyres.
