Not everyone wants a scooter that looks and feels like a scooter. The Sterling S800 by Scoozy is a fresh design for active people who love the outdoors. You steer with a bike-style handlebar, speed up with a thumb throttle and slow down with handbrakes, just like riding a bicycle.

Four big 18" trail tyres and suspension front and rear take on gravel, grass and muddy paths, and the lithium battery gives up to 31 miles on a charge. It's road legal at 8 mph and carries riders up to 25 stone (160 kg).

Worth knowing before you buy

The S800 is a one-piece scooter weighing about 100 kg with its battery. Only the seat comes off, so it's not for a car boot, and you'll need a garage or shed for storage. The bike-style controls use handbrakes and a thumb throttle, so if your grip is weak or you prefer simple scooter controls, a conventional road scooter with a delta tiller may be easier.

Questions customers ask us

Can I use it on the road?
Yes. It's a Class 3 scooter for road use at up to 8 mph. It needs free DVLA registration, and no licence is needed.

Can I try the bike-style controls first?
Yes. We don't keep every model in stock, so give us a call first and we'll check it's in the showroom — and if it isn't, we can usually arrange a demo model for you. You can also book a free home assessment.
