It has the legroom, air-filled tyres and suspension you'd expect on a bigger scooter, yet the seat, batteries and rear section lift away so it can travel in a car boot.
There are no cables or plugs to fiddle with when you take it apart. Everything clicks together, which makes days out with family, visits to the garden centre or a trip to the coast far less of a palaver.

Worth knowing before you buy
The Sapphire 2 is a 4 mph pavement scooter (Class 2), so it can't be used on the road. At 79 kg in total it is heavier than small folding scooters, and the heaviest piece, the front section, weighs 22.5 kg. Each battery is 12 kg. If nobody can help you lift those, a lightweight folding scooter may suit you better.

It splits into five pieces: the seat, two batteries, the rear drive unit and the front section. We're happy to help you check it will fit your boot.
Can it cope with hills?
It is rated for slopes up to 10° at the full 150 kg, and up to 14° for riders up to 113 kg.
