Specifications
Keep sharing a bed, even when you each need something different
When one of you needs to sleep propped up and the other likes to lie flat, couples often end up in separate rooms. The Rise Recline Richmond is an electric adjustable bed that can be made as a dual bed, so each side can be set to suit the person sleeping there and you can stay together.
It's also available as a single or a standard double, and you can choose from three headboard styles. Whichever you pick, raising your back to sit up or lifting your legs to rest them is as simple as pressing a button.
✅ Key Features & Benefits
Dual option with two independent halves
Each of you can choose your own position, so a partner with a bad back, breathing problems or sore legs can get comfortable without disturbing the other.Electric back and leg adjustment
Sit up to read or chat, and raise your legs at the end of a long day — kinder on swollen ankles and an aching back.Three headboard styles
Choose Shell, Fraser or DD, so the bed looks right in your bedroom.Wide choice of sizes
Single 2' 3", 2' 6" or 3' 0"; double 3' 6", 4' 0" or 4' 6"; dual 4' 6", 5' 0" or 6' 0".Sitting up made easy
Raise the backrest before you get up and you're most of the way to sitting already, with far less strain on your arms and shoulders. Can be tailored with extras
Massage, height or length alterations, cot sides, a grab rail, a drawer unit and heavy duty upgrades are all available.
Who it suits best
- Couples who want to keep sharing a bed but sleep in different positions
- People who breathe or sleep better slightly propped up
- Anyone who struggles to sit up or get out of a flat bed
- Users up to 18 stone (114 kg), or more with an upgrade
Worth knowing before you buy
A dual bed is made in two halves, so you'll need bedding for two single mattresses rather than one double sheet. The standard rating is 18 stone (114 kg); heavy duty upgrades to 25 or 35 stone are available. If someone will be cared for in bed, the hi-lo lifter is only offered on 3' singles, so a care bed may be the better choice.
Questions customers ask us
What's the difference between double and dual?
A double moves as one bed. A dual is two halves side by side, so each person can set their own position.
Can we see the Richmond first?
We don't keep every bed in stock, so please call first and we'll check — if it isn't in the showroom, we can usually arrange a demo model, or come to you for a free home assessment.
