It is made to measure and designed to grow with your child rather than be replaced.

  Expanders inside the frame let it widen up to a 19" seat, and up to 3" of extra depth can be built in when you order — good news for parents watching growth spurts.

• Light rigid frame
  About 5.7 kg with the wheels off and around 7.3 kg in standard build, so it is easier for small arms to push and for you to lift into the car.

• Balance set for your child
  The balance point adjusts, so the chair can feel stable at first and livelier as confidence grows.

• Flip-up, multi-adjustable footplate
  Fine-tunes to the right angle and lifts with a strap, so you don't have to bend low to move it.

• Transit approved
  Can be secured in a suitably adapted vehicle, for children up to 57 kg (9 st) when used as a seat in transport.

Worth knowing before you buy

The Little Wave XP is a rigid chair, so it doesn't fold like a folding frame — instead the quick-release rear wheels come off for the car. It is built for children who can self-propel; if your child needs tilt or a lot of postural support, a children's tilt-in-space chair is likely to suit better. It is built to order after an assessment. The price shown is for the standard set-up — options are quoted separately.

The width and depth can both be increased within the chair's range — up to a 19" seat width — so it can usually be adjusted rather than replaced for some time.
