Turn on the spot indoors and ride over bumps outdoors with confidence

A good everyday electric wheelchair has to work in two very different places: the tight corners of your home and the uneven pavements outside. The Pride Jazzy 600 ES is a mid-wheel drive electric wheelchair, also known as a powerchair, which means the big drive wheels sit under the middle of the chair so it pivots in a very small space.

Large 14-inch drive wheels and Active-Trac suspension help it ride over kerb edges and rough paving without jolting you. Add a supportive high-back seat in three widths and you have a chair that keeps you comfortable from breakfast to bedtime, whether you are at home, at the shops or out in the park.

✅ Key Features & Benefits

• Mid-wheel drive with a 52 cm turning radius
The chair turns around its own centre, so you can move between rooms, around the bed and into the bathroom without endless shuffling back and forth.

• Active-Trac ATX suspension
Pride's suspension system keeps the ride smooth over cracked pavements and kerb edges, which is kinder to a sore back or neck.

• Large 14-inch drive wheels
Big wheels grip well on different surfaces, from park paths to wet pavements, helping you feel secure outdoors.

• High-back seat in three widths
Choose a 16, 18 or 20 inch wide seat with adjustable depth, so your back and thighs are properly supported during long spells of sitting.

• OMNI castors with shrouds
Rounded covers on the small front wheels help stop the chair catching on door thresholds and kerbs as you climb.

• Two 50 Ah batteries
Large batteries give you the power for full days out and help on gentle slopes.

• Easy-reach freewheel levers
A carer can switch the chair to freewheel and push it by hand if needed, for example when loading into a vehicle.

• Simple VR2 joystick control
A clear, straightforward controller that is easy to learn, even if you have never used an electric wheelchair before.

Colours available

Who it suits best

• Everyday use around the home and out on local pavements

• You want a comfortable, supportive seat for long days

Worth knowing before you buy

The Jazzy 600 ES is a full-size chair. The base alone weighs 56 kg and each battery 16.9 kg, so it does not fold into a car boot and needs a vehicle with a ramp or lift if you want to take it with you. Its top speed is 4 mph, which suits pavements rather than long journeys. If you need a chair for the car, look at a folding or dismantling electric wheelchair; if you need tilt or recline for pressure care, ask us about a more specialist chair.

Questions customers ask us

Will it fit through my doors?
It is 62.2 cm wide, which fits through most internal doorways. We can measure up with you if you are unsure.

What does mid-wheel drive mean?
The drive wheels are under the middle of the chair, so it turns within its own footprint and is very easy to manoeuvre indoors.

Can I try one?
Yes. Call us before coming in so we can check it's in stock. If it isn't, we can usually arrange a demo model for you.
