A light carbon fibre chair that folds away and travels with you

If a heavy wheelchair has made you think twice about trips out, holidays or visiting family, a lighter chair can change your plans completely. The Pride Jazzy Carbon Injection is a folding electric wheelchair, also known as a powerchair, with a carbon fibre frame that weighs 17.2 kg without its battery.

It folds for the car boot or a cupboard, and when you open it up you have a simple joystick, a padded seat and enough range for a good few hours out. For many people it means going out on their own terms again, without having to rely on someone to push.

✅ Key Features & Benefits

• Carbon fibre frame, 17.2 kg without battery
Light enough that many carers and partners can lift it into a car without straining their back, so days out are far easier to arrange.

• Folds for travel and storage
Folds into a compact package for the boot, a train luggage area or a corner of the hallway, so it doesn't take over your home.

• Flight-safe lithium battery
Pride labels the 12 Ah lithium battery as flight-safe, which makes holidays abroad more realistic. Always check with your airline before you book.

• Up to 15 km (9.3 miles) range
Plenty for shopping, a museum visit or a walk round the park with family.

• Easy joystick control
Simple to learn and gentle on your hands, so you can drive yourself rather than being pushed.

• Solid puncture-proof tyres
No flat tyres to worry about, ever, so the chair is always ready to go.

• Takes users up to 21 stone (136 kg)
A generous weight limit for such a light, portable chair.

Who it suits best

• You want a chair that folds and lifts into the car
• Holidays, days out and shopping trips
• Mostly smooth pavements and indoor floors
• Users up to 21 stone (136 kg)

Worth knowing before you buy

The Jazzy Carbon Injection is built to be light and portable, so it has smaller solid wheels and a top speed of 4 mph. It is best on pavements, shopping centres and firm paths rather than grass, gravel or steep slopes. If you need to cover long distances every day, want a smoother ride on rough ground, or need more postural support, a full-size electric wheelchair will serve you better.
