Visiting Stratford-upon-Avon and worried about all the walking? Stratford Shopmobility hires out mobility scooters, wheelchairs and walkers, so you can enjoy the town at your own pace.
A single day's hire is by donation. We don't want price to stop anyone getting out and about, so please give whatever feels fair. For longer hires, our prices are below.

The day hire prices are our usual charges, shown to help you decide what to donate. Deposits are fully refunded when the equipment comes back on time and in good condition.
Who can hire?
Anyone with a mobility need, whether it's long-term, temporary, or you just get tired walking around town. You don't need a Blue Badge. Bring two forms of ID, one with a photo, and we'll register you in a few minutes.
New to scooters or wheelchairs? We'll show you how everything works before you set off.
Please book ahead
Booking guarantees your scooter or wheelchair is ready and waiting. In quieter periods we may not open at all if nothing is booked, so please don't just turn up.

- A week or longer: use our longer hire form, or call us.
- Booking for someone else? That's fine. Many of our bookings come from sons, daughters and friends.
Delivery to your hotel or home
We can deliver to your hotel, holiday let or home and collect at the end of your stay. We regularly deliver to Warner Studley Castle, local hotels and holiday lodges. Call us for a delivery price.
Opening hours
- Monday to Thursday: from 10am
- Friday and Saturday: from 9am
- Sunday: open May to September and in December. Closed on Sundays the rest of the year unless there is an event in town.
- Bank holidays: open on the May and August bank holidays only
Last hires go out at 2pm and must be back by 4pm. Once everything has been returned, we close for the day.

Already got your own scooter?
You're still welcome. Many visitors leave theirs at home and borrow one of ours, so there's no lifting it in and out of the car and no worries about battery range.
